On many HP LaserJet models, when the fuser maintenance kit reaches its end of life and has been replaced, the maintenance kit count will need to be reset. This counter tracks the number of pages printed.

On previous HP models, the maintenance kit count reset was located in a startup or pre-boot menu, but this changed for the following series’:

  • LaserJet Enterprise M601, M602, M603, M604, M605, M606, M712
  • LaserJet Enterprise MFP M630, M725, M4555
  • To reset the Maintenance Kit Count on these models, from printer’s home ready screen:
    1. Scroll and select “ADMINISTRATION”
    2. Select “MANAGE SUPPLIES”
    3. Select “RESET SUPPLIES”
    4. Select “NEW MAINTENANCE KIT”

The maintenance kit reset is built into fusers of the following series’:

  • M806 and M830MFP
    • Reset will occur the very first time the printer is turned on after replacement.
  • M607, M608, M609, M610, M611, M612, M631MFP, M632MFP, M633MFP, M634MFP, M635MFP, M636MFP, E60055, E60065, E60075, E60155, E60165, E60175, E62555MFP, E62565MFP, E62575MFP, E62655MFP, E62665MFP and E62675MFP
    • Reset will occur after 100 pages are printed after replacement.

HP Monochrome FutureSmart Models that are not listed, do not have a maintenance kit counter.
