The above listed models can develop a high pitched “chirp” or a bad gear grinding noise that usually leads to ADF paper jams.
Unfortunately, other than the ADF pickup roller/separation pad maintenance kit (W5U23-67901), HP does not list any replaceable internal ADF components, meaning the entire ADF assembly likely needs to be replaced (Non-Flow Models: B5L47-67910 / Flow Models: B5L47-67911).
