Tech Tip - RM2-6454 Missing Colors, Missing Black, or Blank Pages After ITB Replacement

After receiving a RM2-6454 transfer belt for one of the above models, it is essential to ensure the engagement cams are correctly positioned prior to installing. These transfer belts do not have any sort of shipping lock, making them vulnerable to having the engagement cams knocked out of home position during shipping or installation.
Installing the belt with the cams misaligned may result in missing colors, missing black or blank pages during print.
Pictured below, the two engagement cams are in their home position (alignment points highlighted in red). If one or both of the cams are flipped, use a #2 Phillips screwdriver in the slot(s) (identified by the blue arrows) to rotate them back into the home position:
